Thank you for your interest in making a gift to Ozone House! Support from community donors allows us to continue to provide a safe place, shelter and support services free of charge to hundreds of youth in our community - which means that our services are accessible to those who need us most.
All donations to Ozone House are tax deductible. Donors who make a financial gift and reside in the State of Michigan are also eligible for a homeless tax credit. For example, a gift of $400 translates into a 50% direct tax credit of $200.

In-Kind Donations
We welcome donations of specific items and supplies that help support our shelter, transitional living, and our work with clients. Please refer to our Wish List for a specific list of items we need.
We are happy to accept gifts of stock.
Some donors prefer to support Ozone House by donating a gift of appreciated securities. In addition to providing important financial support to help support our mission, donors can avoid capital gains tax.
In order to retain the tax benefits of a stock gift, do not sell any appreciated shares with the intent of contributing cash to Ozone House. Please donate the securities directly to Ozone House by transferring the stock certificates directly or hrough your broker.
Conversely, if the securities you wish to give to Ozone House have decreased in value from your original cost, you should consider selling the stock and donating the cash proceeds to Ozone House. You will be able to take a capital loss deduction on your income tax and a charitable deduction for the full amount allowable under current IRS regulations.

Your vehicle donation is tax deductible. Donors are able to deduct the fair market value of the donated vehicle - not to exceed the private party value listed in any Blue Book.
