Emergency Food and Shelter Challenge

Ozone House is proud to be a recipient of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Michigan's Emergency Food and Shelter Challenge Grant. This vital program provides operating funds to Ozone House's Emergency Youth Shelter. With support from the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation, the Challenge will match contributions to our Shelter at a rate of 1-to-2, or a match of one dollar for every two dollars you donate. Your $100 = $150 for Ozone House!

Youth that come to Ozone House's Emergency Shelter are ages 10-17 and come from every school in Washtenaw County. They need our shelter for a variety of reasons - some are running away from abuse and neglect; others are kicked out by their caretakers. These youth are a part of our community, and they need our help. Please join the Community Foundation - Emergency Food and Shelter Challenge and support youth to safely return to their families.

As of April 2011, we are 82% towards our goal of $60,000 by September!

Ozone House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service. Your donation is 100% tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We are grateful to our many online donors who choose to pay the modest online administrative fee so that 100% of your gift comes to us.

Michigan Tax Credit
If you are a Michigan resident, your gift to Ozone House qualifies for the Michigan Homeless Shelter and Food Bank Tax Credit. Individuals may claim 50% of gifts up to $200 to Ozone House and other shelter and food distribution organizations, while married couples filing jointly may claim up to 50% of gifts up to $400. Businesses may claim 50% of gifts up to $10,000.
