Ozone House is the only agency in Washtenaw County that provides free, confidential and voluntary shelter and support services for runaway, homeless, and high-risk youth ages 10-20 and their families.
Since opening in 1969, we have helped thousands of young people build the confidence, skills, and emotional strength needed to make a safe, healthy transition to adulthood.
Our services and programs include:
- 24 Hour Crisis Line Help and Intervention Services
- Emergency Shelter for youth ages 10-17
- Transitional Housing for youth ages 17-20
- SOLO (Supported Opportunities for Living on Your Own): support for long-term and stable housing
- Individual and group counseling for youth
- In-home and agency-based family counseling
- Case Management
- Basic needs support including: meals, clothing, personal care items, work and school supplies, and transportation assistance
- Health care through an on-site health clinic
- Employment and Educational Support
- Life Skills Development
- Youth Drop-In Center in Ypsilanti that hosts a variety of programs and activities
- Street Outreach Program with Peer Outreach Workers
- Queerzone: a social and support group for LGBTQ youth who need a safe and supportive space
- YMI (Youth Making an Impact): A youth leadership opportunity and volunteer group dedicated to engaging young people in creating a safe and healthy environment through community service
